Great to be at Great American

Seems the Pirate's good luck at Great American Ballpark continues as the Pirates stoped there skid with a 8 to 4 win over the hapless Reds. Ward and Lawton both hit home runs in the game, Lawton's being one of his 3 hits for the night and Rob Makowiak's bat remained hot as well with 3 hits of his own. Perez's comeback tour continued last night as well being strong in 5+ innings of work.

The Pirates hope to make it 2 in a row tonight as they face off for game 2 at 7:10 with a chance to pull into a tie for 3rd with the Cubs with a win and a Cubbies loss.
